Oh my head it's in the clouds again my hands are dirty now I'm looking down picking rocks and stones and old bleached out bones hoping these roots can grow and singing loud. I want to make something good with these two hands. Could I make a bow out of the trees that grow a quiver of arrows to fly away? Or could I play that bow, a simple song I wrote just a few sweet notes to send away? I want to make something good with these two hands. Could I go down the banks and dig out the clay and make amazing shapes with these hands? Or could I make a change to somehow rearrange the crazy ways we live on this land? I want to make something good with these two hands. And now you're sitting there out on the front porch chair sipping your beer and feeling all right, but me I can't sit still oh no not until I've worked and played all day and said goodnight. I want to make something good with these two hands.

Well the times could be better and the skies could be bluer since we've been here together our troubles could be fewer won't you sat anything at all? Well I've gone and spoke too harshly now my words have made you worry. I'd tell you that I'm sorry but your silence makes me crazy won't you say anything at all? You can hear my thoughts exploding in the quiet of the evening. I'll feel better in the morning but for now I'll just keep pleading won't you say anything at all?

Rolling Tide 03:33
Compromise I make for love makes the world easier to take. Disguise that keeps my head above the waves so I'm still breathing when they break. And I can't stop this rolling tide and I can't stop the water coming down. Step by step along the line between what's right and what is sane. Used to set my sights so high now all I can do is to remain. And I can't stop this rolling tide and I can't stop the water coming down. But I'll plant the seeds and bake the bread and keep on keeping on for goodness' sake pull the weeds to clear my head and try to keep the promises I make. And I can't stop this rolling tide and I can't stop the water coming down.

Winter 02:33
Thunder you've been on my mind been thinking about you all the time how you roll on down down the mountainside oh thunder you've been on my mind. Winter you've been on my mind been thinking about you all the time how you take me down down from my summer high oh winter you've been on my mind. Shelter you've been on my mind been thinking about you all the time want to slumber down down where it's warm inside oh shelter you've been on my mind.
